Military Records available for free

One of the major ancestry companies has opened up their military records and are allowing free access for a limited time leading up to Armistice Day 2020.

FindMyPast military records are now free until Thursday 12 November at 10:00 GMT. Just click here to be taken directly to the search page for military records relating to Ireland, and click here for military records relating to Britain.


In addition, several new military record collections have recently become available ...

  • Ancestry has added the UK's Post Office WW1 and WW2 Memorial Books 1914-1945. These have over 25,864 entries. Click here to be taken to the search page.
  • They have also updated their collection of World War I Pension Ledgers and Index Cards 1914-1923 (6,519,330 entries). Click here for access.
